Waheguru Ji
Firstly we would like to thank the Sangat for their continued support with the name change and more importantly the vision of the Sikh World which is to deliver high quality programming which the Sikh community so rightly deserve and also bring the Sikh faith right into the 21st century.
We have 3 to 4 generations of Sikhs living in the UK and each of the generations needs programming which is appealing to them, we at Sikh World recognise this fact and have accordingly designed programming keeping this in mind.
The Sangat have expressed their views in regards to quality programming and a majority of the Sangat have told us that the former Channel Punjab set the standards in relation to quality programming.
One of our missions of Sikh World is to deliver quality life changing programming aimed at the younger generations. Sikhism is so beautiful and enriched with history and we have a duty to deliver the words of our Gurus to all.
We realise that we will not be able to produce so much quality programming nor do we intend to buy any DVD or CD material. Taking the views of the Sangat we have approached a media consultant to see if any of the religious content of Channel Punjab is available, we have been informed that Raag Rattan, Jithe Mere Satguru, Har Ki Katha, Amrit Bani, are some the programming which is available and what is more encouraging is that Channel Punjab content will only be available to Sikh World exclusively.
Sikh net Sikhs worlds biggest/largest web site have pledged their support to the Sikh world, and we will be working together on educational, animation programmes for the young and old with some interactive programming. Sikh net truly have a global vision and together we will deliver the gurus teachings.
We are humbled with the overwhelming support and the vision of a quality Sikh channel is shared by millions of Sikhs around the world
We believe God has his way of working and everything has a reason, we ask the blessing of Almighty Waheguru and the Sangat’s support with every step we take as this is not our channel but a channel for Sikhs across the world.
